What is a DISC Assessment?

The DISC assessment is a non-judgmental  tool that is used to determine the behavioral differences between each individual and their workforce characteristics. This is important for future employers, it helps them to look at individuals work ethic as well as their characteristics and ultimately choose between candidates.

In this DISC assessment  D stands for Dominance. I scored a 37% in the dominance portion of this assessment. According to DISC people with a dominant personality tend to place an emphasis on shaping the environment by overcoming opposition to accomplish results. Some behaviors of a person with a D personality include: 

- motivation by winning, competition, and success 

- prioritizing accepting challenges, taking action and achieving immediate results

is described as direct, demanding, forceful, strong willed, driven, determined, fast-paced, and self-confident

Some goals related to a dominant personality are: 

- completing unique accomplishments 

- control of audience

- new opportunities 

Dominant type personalities can expend more time on things such as: 

- getting into the details

- allowing deliberation

Some patterns found in people with a dominant personality include things such as developmental results, results orientated, inspirational, and creative. A person with a dominant personality has leadership characteristics such as commanding, resolute, and pioneering

For future employers, from reading this I would like you to take away not the exact words above but these following words. I am a hardworking individual who seeks results, however, I am considerate of others and am cooperative. Even though I am a dominant individual I can be thoughtful and go about situations at all different angles.
